இளமை (youthfullness)

பெண்மணி ஒருத்தியை சந்தித்தேன்
அத்தையோ மாமியோ சித்தியோ
அறியேன் நான் 
முக்கால் நுற்றாண்டு கடந்தவள்
முந்தாநாள் திரண்டவள் போல் இருக்கிறாள்
ஆடுகிறாள் பாடுகிறாள் சிரிக்கிறாள்
சோழியை உருட்டி போட்டது போல
கல கலவென பேசுகிறாள்
பிரம்மனின் படைப்பை எண்ணி
வியக்கிறேன்
பிறப்பின் அருமையை
ரசித்து நிற்கிறேன்

ஆரம்பம் ( A start ....)

மாலை  வேளையில் மேகத்தின் தூவலில்
சாலை ஓரத்தில்
கால் நடையாகப் பயணித்தேன்
திடீரென
வழித்துணைக்கு வருவது போல
வந்தாள் ஒரு பெண்மணி
அறிமுகமே இல்லா முகம் --- ஆனால்
சந்தித்தன எங்கள் இதயங்கள்  நிமிடத்தில்
நாட்கணக்கில் பழகிய உணர்வு
கால் நடையைத்  தொடர்ந்தோம்  இருவராக
பேசிக்கொண்டே

துயரங்கள் அலைமோதும் போதெல்லாம்
இறைவன் எனும் துடுப்பை மனதில் பற்றி
வாழ்வை கடக்கும்  நான்
மகிழ்ச்சிக்கு இடையில் அப்பெண்மணியிடம்
சோகம் பிரதிபலிப்பதைக்
காணத் தவறவில்லை

திடீரென என் பெயரை
அழகாக உச்சரித்து அழைத்தாள்--- தன்
ஒரு வேளைப் பசிக்கு உதவ முடியுமா
என்பதுதான் அவள் அழைப்பின் பின்
வந்த வேண்டுகோள்

ஒரு நிமிடம் என் இதயம்
துடிக்க மறந்தது
சோகத்தாலோ இல்லை மகிழ்ச்சியலோ
சொல்லத் தெரியவில்லை

சோகம் என்று சொனனால்
பணக்கார நாடக பறந்து விரிந்து
பூகோளத்தில் கனத்து நிற்கும் இங்கு
தனி மனிதனின் உணவுக்குப் பஞ்சமா என்பது

மகிழ்ச்சி என்று கருதினால்
என் மனதின் அமைதியான சங்கீதம்
இறைவன் செவியை எட்டியது என
இந்த சங்கீதத்தின் சந்தங்கள்
இறைவா, மக்களுக்கு நீ காட்டும்
கருணையின் பாதையில் என்னையும்
வழிநடத்திச்  செல்  என்பதே

அழைத்துச் சென்றேன் அப்பெண்மணியை
அருகாமையில்  உள்ள உணவகத்திற்கு
வயிறார உண்டவள் எனை
வாயார வாழ்த்தினாள்.
இல்லை
நான் தான் அவளுக்கு நன்றி
சொல்ல வேண்டும்
இன்று துவங்கிய தெய்வீக செயலில்
என் பயணம் தொடரும் என்ற
நம்பிக்கையோடு
கால் நடையைத் தொடருகிறேன்
தினமும்..........................

Evening time it's raining
started walking
on the sidewalk of the roads
all of a sudden
there came a lady as if
giving me a company
on my walk
never seen her before but
our hearts met instantly as if
continued our walking together
talking to each other .....

having crossed many difficulties
in life holding God as my paddle
in my heart
did not fail to read the sadness
on her  face though she
sounded cheerful

All of a sudden she called my name
very sweetly
there followed her request if
I could afford to pay for her
one time meal

My heart stopped beating
for a minute
Did not know whether
it was due to sadness
or happiness

if taken for sadness
is there problem in the country
for an individual's one time food
which is said to be the richest country
and  has occupied a greater space
on the globe with millions of people 
to live there ?

If taken for happiness
the music of my heart in its silence
reached God's ear ?
the  music's notes are
"God ,please make me involve
in your path of kindness
towards people
Took her to a nearest restaurant
made her eat  stomach full
with filled stomach, with
a great smile on her face
she blessed me thanking me
Sorry
It's I who had to thank her
as I  felt assured the divine act that  
started today will continue
in my future
with this feeling
I continue my walk daily .....................

ஓர் உயிர் ( A Soul )

பிறந்து அரை நூற்றாண்டுக்கு  மேல்  ஆகிவிட்டது ---இன்னும் ஒரு
தாயைத்  தேடும் குழந்தை நான் --ஒரு
பெண்ணாகி நாற்பது வருடகாலம் ஆகிவிட்டது ---இன்னும்
பதினாறு வயதிலேயே  நிற்கிறேன்
தாயாகி முப்பது  ௦ வருடங்கள் மேல் ஆகிவிட்டது ---இன்னும்
குழந்தைக்கு  ஏங்குகிறேன்
என்னுள் இருக்கும் இந்த
குழந்தைக்கு ஒரு தாய்
 பெண்மைக்கு ஒரு துணை
 தாய்மைக்கு குழந்தை ----இம்மூன்றும் சேர்ந்த
ஒரு ஜீவன் கிடைத்தால்
என்னுள் வாழும் இறைவனுக்கு
இறந்த பிறகும் பாமாலைப்  பாடுவேன்
                   
                          A soul !
half a century has gone since I was born  yet
a child I am, longing for a  mother
40 years it has been since I
became a woman yet
I am only 16 years now
more than  30 years now since I
became a mother yet
long for a child into my arms 
For the child in me
for the  woman in me
for the mother in me
If I get one soul
sure will sing HIS praise 
even after my death !

என்னவன் எங்கே ( Where is my Man ...)

மார்கழி மாதம் துவங்கிவிட்டதே ---என்
மாதவனைக் காண மனதில் ஆசை
கோதையாக நிற்கிறேன்  என்
கோவிந்தன் எங்கே
கோலமிடுகிறேன் காலையில்
தோழிகளுடன் கூடி
பனியிலும் வேர்க்கிறேன்
பலரின் முன்னிலையில்
படைத்தவன் அறியானோ
பாராது இருக்கிறானே
பாவை மனம் அறிய --திருப்
பாவை பாடி நிற்கிறேன்
இமைகள் மூடினாலும்
இரவு பகலாகச் சுடுகிறது
இனியும் தாமதித்தால் --உயிர்
இருந்திடுமா என்னுள்
உடனே வந்திடுவாய்
உயிரை மீட்டிட
எனக்கு வேண்டாம் அது
உனக்கே அர்பணித்த பிறகு
உன்னோடு இருந்தாலே  போதும்  --நான்
இறவா வரம் பெறுவேன் --எங்கே
நீ என்னவனே ?

the month of God has started today
want to see my madhavan
Standing as kodhai to
see my Govindan
Drawing rangoli early morning
with my friends
even in that cool breeze
I sweat in front of others
Dont the Creator know...still
he sounds indifferent (unnoticed )..
to make him know my heart  I
sing devotional songs (of Thiruppavai )
My eyes are only closed but the
nights are bright and hot like day
If he delays further
will my soul live in me ?
come immediately and
recover my soul
I dont need that any more as
I have given that to you
If I were with you, that
alone will make me immortal
My man ,where are you ?

காலையில் ஆதவனை காண்கிறோம் ---- அவன்
இரவில் கண்ணுக்குத் தெரியவில்லை --நாமும்
சற்று ஓய்வெடுக்க ஒளிகிறான் போல

இரவில் நிலவை காண்கிறோம் ---நம்மில்
குளுமையைப் புகுத்துகிறது--- பின் அதுவும்
பகலில் மறைந்து நிற்கிறது

காலங்கள் மாறுகிறது வருடத்திற்கு
நான்கு முறை
கால நிலைக்கேற்ப இயற்கையின்
எழிலில் மாற்றம்
நிறம் மாறும் இலைகள்
வண்ண வண்ணப் பூக்கள் ----அதன் மேல்
வட்டமிடும் பட்டாம் பூச்சிகள் --இவை
கனவுகளை நம்மில் சிறகடிக்க வைக்கும்
மாற்றங்களும் வண்ணங்களும்  இறைவன்
படைப்பில் நிரந்தரமானவை  ---நாமும்
அவன் படைப்புதானே
மாற்றங்களை ஏற்றுக்கொள்ளவிட்டால்
முரண்பாடு அல்லவோ தோன்றும்

போர்வை (Blanket )

சோகம் பூசிய முகத்தோடு புதிய
நண்பன் ஒருவன் வந்தான்
முன் பின் தெரியாத முகம் தான்---ஆனால்
அவன் சோகம் எனக்கு புரியாதது அல்ல
இது உனக்கு அழகல்ல ---உன்
வாழ்க்கை பயணம் இப்போது தான் ஆரம்பம்
களைந்து விடு இந்த போர்வையை
என்றேன்
ஏன் என்றான் அவன்
சோகம் பொல்லாது
நல்லவை தான் உனக்கு தகும் என்றேன்
சிரித்தான் உடனே
தானாகவே களைந்தது போர்வை
என் மனமும் கண்டது அமைதியை

Met a boy in the net of friends whose face
was painted with sadness
never seen this face before but
his unhappiness is not new to me to understand
told him it does not suit you as
your journey of life has just started so
remove this blanket of sadness
he asked why ? ---I
said sadness is a bad thing
you are destined for good things
It brought instantly smile on his face
The blanket of sadness went away on its own
my mind also filled with peace

ஆசை ( wish )

ஆசை ஒன்றை திடீரென புகுத்தினர் என்னுள்
அவர்களின் அறிவு பற்றாக்குறையினால்
என்னோடு இருந்தவர்கள்
வளர்த்தேன் எனக்குள் அதை பக்தியோடு
ஆசையே துன்பத்திற்கும் காரணம்  என்பர்
கேட்டு இருக்கிறேன்
ஆச்சர்யம் எழுந்தது என் மனதில் --இந்த
ஆசை வந்த பிறகு பெரும் அமைதி அல்லவா
சூழ்ந்து  உள்ளது என்னை ----அப்படி என்றால்
எனக்குள் வளர்வது ஆசை இல்லையோ ?
சந்தேகம் வேண்டாம்
இது ஆசைதான்  என்றது மனம் --ஒரு கால்
இறைவன் என் ஏட்டில் ஏற்கனவே
எழுதி இருக்கிறானோ இதை ?
மனம் எதையும் தேடவில்லை
தேடி வந்ததில் இனிமை கண்டது ---- என்னை
இன்னும் இளமையாக்கியது
புதுமையாக்கியது  சிந்தனையில்
நன்றி சொல்லத் தோன்றுகிறது ---ஆசையை
எனக்குள் விதைத்தவர்களுக்கு !

A wish was pushed into my heart
in the lack of understanding
of the  people with me
Started growing the wish within me
with devotion
have heard that longing or wishing for something  
is the root cause of pain in life
got surprised because after having conceived
this wish in me
have become immersed in peace..then
this shouldn't be a wish then ---but
undoubtedly it's wish
my mind said firmly --wonder now
has god already written this wish in my life ?
my mind did not go in search of anything
instead has got filled with
what came searching for me
It has made me younger
giving me innovative feelings---Now I
feel like showing my gratitude who
has planted the wish seed in me

பூலோக சொர்க்கம் ( Heaven on Earth)

எதற்கும் என்றும் அயராத என் முகம் சற்று
சோர்ந்திருந்தது இன்று
பார்த்த இறைவன் அதிர்ந்தான் போல
பூமியின் பாரம் பெருகினாலும் அவன் பார்வை
சந்தேகமின்றி ஒவ்வொருவர் மேலும் உள்ளது
"என்ன வேண்டும் உனக்கு "என்ற கனிவான
அவன் குரல் என் அமைதியில் கேட்டது
"என்ன கொடுக்க விரும்புகிறாய் எனக்கு " என

நான் அன்போடு கேட்டேன்

"சொர்க்கம் தருகிறேன் ; புறப்படு  " என்றான்
"இல்லை நான் பூலோகத்திலேயே அதை காணவேண்டும் "என்றேன்
'சரி; ,புகழ் ,பதவி , பணம் போதுமா அதற்கு "என்றான்
"இல்லை " என்றேன்
"சொர்க்கம் என்றால் அது எல்லோரும் மகிழ்ச்சியாக
வாழும் இடம் அல்லவா" என்றேன்
"பூலோகத்தில் நான் சொர்க்கம் காணவேண்டுமானால்
இங்கும் எல்லோருக்கும் எல்லாம் கிடைக்க வேண்டும்
தருவாயா " என கேட்டேன்
இறைவன் அழகாகச் சிரித்தான் ---இந்த
அழகின் பிரதிபலிப்பை சீக்கிரம் காணலாமா ........

My face which in general reflects happiness
got tired today
God having noticed it ,got perplexed
though the world is getting bulky with
growing population
HIS divine eye is set on each one of us
undoubtedly
"what do you want ?"when  he asked me with love
was heard by me in my silence
"what do you want to give me ?"asked I
with folded hands
"I can  take you to heaven ;get ready "
said he
"no" said I
"I want to see heaven on the earth" said I
"Ok,money ,fame and power ,are they enough to have
heaven on earth ?"asked he
"Heaven is a place where all are happy,right ?
asked I
"yes" he said
"If I have to see heaven on this earth
here also everyone should get everything
will you give that ?"
asked I
God smiled beautifully
could we able to see the reflection of
this smile soon................

எங்கே இருக்கிறோம் நாம் ...... (Where are we ......? )

அகலிகை சாபம் அனைவரும் அறிந்தததே
கௌதம முனிவரின் பத்தினி தெய்வம் அவள்
அவள் அறியாததா அன்று வந்தது இந்திரன் என்று
மதி மயங்கினாள் அவளும் இந்திரனின் அழகில் --அது
அறிந்த கௌதமரும் அவள் கலங்கிடுவளோ  என
கனிவோடு கல்லாக்கினார்  அவளை ---
எழுந்தாள் அவளும்
மானிட அவதாரம் எடுத்த தெய்வம் கால் பட்டு
தெய்வமே வணக்கிய தாயானாள் அவள் அன்று
சுபம் உண்டாக அவள் வாழ்த்த   உடனே

மணந்தான் தன் திருமகளை மிதிலையிலே 

அகலிகை வாக்கு பலித்தது

புராணம் நமக்கு சொல்லும் பாடம்
பெண்மையை இழிவு படுத்தச் சொல்லி அல்ல
கல்லான பெண்ணின் காலில் விழுந்து வணங்கி
தாயாக்கி நின்றான் அவளை அன்று இறைவன்
இதுதான் புராணம் நமக்கு அளித்த பாடம்

விஞ்ஞான வளர்ச்சி உலகைத்தான் சுருக்கி உள்ளது
உள்ளம் சுருங்கினால் அது வளர்ச்சி அல்ல --இதை
நினைவில் கொள்ள வேண்டும் நாம் !

Befallen curse of Ahalya we all know
She ,the beloved wife of Sage Gouthama
Did she not know it was Indira's trick-----yet
was drawn towards him --knowing this
Gouthama, always filled with love for her
made her into stone as he knew
she could not bear to live with this guilt

having come out of the stone
by the mere touch of the God's foot
who came to earth in human form
stood in front of him while
God prostrated in front of her addressing her
as "mother"
Got blessed by her words
God went straight to Mythila
married his Beloved ! there making her
words come true

What does "epics" teach us ?---definitely
not to insult womanhood
God respected her like his own mother
who came out as woman again
This is what is taught here

advancement  in  science has made the world small
If it makes the minds small
It is not growth then
have to remember this !

சிரிப்பு ( social))

சிரிப்பு இறைவன் நமக்களித்த பொறுப்பு
சிரித்தால் சிந்தை மயங்கும் -- சிலரின்
சிந்திப்பும் மாறும்
சிரிப்பை சில்லரைப் போல
சிந்திக்காமல் கொட்டணும்
சிரிததால் உடல் நோயும் போகும்      
உள்ள நோயும் போகும்

கள்ளச் சிரிப்பு கவிதை ஆகலாம்
காதல் சிரிப்பில் கணவனை ஆளலாம்
கேலிச் சிரிப்பில் குதர்க்கம் காணலாம்
ஆணவச் சிரிப்பில் அழிவைக் காணலாம்
அலங்காரச் சிரிப்பில் அழகை காணலாம்
அமைதிச் சிரிப்பில் அருளை காணலாம்
ஏழையின் சிரிப்பில் இறைவனையே  காணலாம் !

Laughter  is one important responsibility
given by God to the human
A laughter  would swoon the senses
Will bring changes in
someone's thinking also
Laughter should  flow like shillings
without hesitation
It brings health to the body as well
to the soul

A stealing laughter  can become a poem
loving laughter  will win over the life partner's heart
Indecent laughter shows the  sarcasm
In ego laughter  one can see the destruction
graceful laughter  reveals the beauty
In peaceful laughter one can see the  bliss
laughter that comes from the poor shows the God in them !

மறு பிறவி ( Next Birth )

                                                              

முருகா ! மறந்தும் எனக்கு
முக்தியை கொடுத்துவிடாதே
ஏனெனில்
மறுபடிப் பிறக்க ஆசை
பிறந்தால்
பாட்டும் பரதத்துடன் நளினமானப்
பெண்ணாகப் பிறக்க
என் கரம் பிடிப்பவர்
என் துணைகரமாக  பரதத்தில்
இணைய 
மேடையில் அவர் பாட நான் ஆட
அங்கே சிதம்பர ஆட்சி நடக்கும்
ஆடல் என்றாலே அம்பலத்தான்   தானே

வீட்டிலே என் ஆட்சி மீனாட்சியாக
நான் பாட அவர் ஆடுவர் !
விந்தையான எண்ணமா ? ----- இல்லை இது
சிந்தை மயக்கும் எண்ணம்

எண்ணம் எல்லாம்

வண்ணமயமாகட்டும்
இறைவனின் அருளால்
                  next  birth
My God, don't give me mukthi(heaven ) even by mistake
as I wish  to be  born again   ---When that happens 
I want to be born 
as an elegant ,beautiful,divine dancer and a singer
The man who is  my life partner
should be my dance partner as a singer
I dance on the stage for his tune-- so
there the Lord of Nataraja rules
as He is the embodiment of Dance 

At home I rule so I become  Meenakshi
I sing and my man will dance for my tune
does this thought  sound strange ? ---No
it is so enchanting  and
let all thought become colourful

பயம் ஏன் ( Fear Not )

ஆலிலை மேல் வந்தான் 
ஆயர்க் குலத் தலைவன்
தன் கால் விரல் வாய்க் கொண்டு
கண்டவர் மனம்  கவர்ந்தான்

ஆனிரையை மேய்த்து வந்தான்
யாதவரைக் காத்து நின்றான்
ராதையோடு கூடி நின்று
கோபியரை நாடிச் சென்றான்

பாண்டவரைக் காத்து நின்றான்
பாஞ்சாலிக்கு துயில் கொடுத்து   
அர்ச்சுனனுக்கு  சாரதியாகி
அறிவுக்கு கீதை தந்தான்

HE came on baniyan leaf
Became the head of cowherd families
eating (putting )his foot toe into his mouth
attracted all of them who witnessed it

taking care of the cows
stood there protecting all
being with his beloved Radha
longed to be with gopikas (other women ) as well

He saved the mighty Pandavas by
giving Panjali ( Drupadha) her required saree on time
By becoming the  charioteer to Arjuna
gave us Geetha for our knowledge

பகிர்ந்துகொள் ( Learn to share )

கோடிக்  கோடியாக  வைத்திருப்பவன்
தேடித் தேடி போகிறான் சுகத்தை --ஒரு
கோடியில் இருந்துகொண்டு
கொள்ளைச் சிரிப்பு கொண்ட மக்களிடம்
கோடியை கொஞ்சம் பகிர்ந்துகொண்டால்
தேடிப்  போக வேண்டாம் சுகத்தை
வாழும் இடம் வைகுண்டமாகும்
தானும் வாழ்ந்து பிறரையும்
வாழ வைத்தால் : 
சாகும் வரை விடாது பிடித்துக் கொள்கிறான்
போகும் பொழுது
எதையும் கொண்டு போக முடியாததை
மறந்து
என்ன வேதனை  --- எடுத்துச் சொல்ல
யாரும் இல்லையோ ?

              learn to share
People who have millions and millions of money
keep going after something or other
constantly in search of pleasure
There are millions of poor who
living in some corner of the world
always with full of joy and laughter for life
If the millionaires share just part
of what they have then they have
No need to go in search of joy
as heaven it becomes where they live
by living and let living others;

Up to  their death they hold onto everything
forgetting they could not take
any single thing when they live this world
what a pity
Isn't there anyone to tell them
about this world   .......?

வரம் வேண்டும் ( wanting a boon ! )

மார்கழி மாதம் மாதவனுக்கு கொண்டாட்டம்
மலர் கூட்டம்  பனி தூங்கும் பல்லாக்கு
மாலை தொடுத்தேன் காலை வேளையில்
கோதையிடம் கொடுத்தேன் கோவிந்தனுக்கு
அணியச்சொல்லி
அணிந்தான் அவனும் அழகாக பள்ளிகொண்டு 
அரங்கனாதனாக
உன்னோடு சேர்த்துக்கொண்டாய்
உன் திருமகளை நீ
என்னோடு வாழ என் துணையை நீ
முன்னின்று வந்து முகூர்த்தம் குறித்து
என் கரம் எடுத்து அவன் கரம் இணைத்துடுவாய்
கைகூப்பி நிற்கிறேன் வரம் வேண்டி உன்னிடம் !
                     
                                       wanting a boon !
Lord Krishna is celebrated very specially
in the month of December ( dec 15 th to jan 15 called Markazhi in tamil)
Bunch of flowers are the palanquin for the morning dews
I made a garland in the early morning ,
gave it to Andal(Kothai ) (the goddess Lakshmi who was born as a human and in love with Lord Krishna)
asked her to give the garland to her Lord
He wore it standing beautifully as Lord Ranganathan !
Told him "U have taken your lady ( goddess) with you ,now come in front of me ,find an auspicious day to join my hand into my Lord's hand "
I stand in front of you with folded hands asking this boon !

                           

காதலர்கள் ( Lovers )

தென்றல் மெல்ல வீச
திங்கள் வானில் உதிக்க
தென்னங் கீற்று  ஆட
கயற்றுக் கட்டிலில் தலை சாய்த்தேன்--- அங்கே
காதலன் எனைத்    தாங்கிக்கொள்ள
அழகான என் கன்னத்தில்
பதித்தான் தன் உதடுகளை
முகம் பார்க்க நாணி  நான் ஒரு
முறுவலைப் பரிசாகக் கொடுத்தேன்
இதமான  இந்த ஏகாந்தத்தில்
இளமை ஊஞ்சலில் ஏறியது இதயம்
தள்ளாத வயதிலும் இந்த
பொல்லாத ஆசை வந்தால்
சல்லாபத் தேரில் ஏறி
உல்லாசம்  போகலாமே

The breeze blew  gently
The moon was seen on the sky
The coconut trees started  swinging  gently
I laid down myself on the cot
while my lover holding me there
He pressed his lips on my
beautiful cheeks
feeling shy to look at his face
gave him a nice smile as a gift 
at this beautiful left alone time
heart got into the swing of youth
even at old age if this feeling come
should get onto the chariot of love
and start traveling happily



         

ஆறாம் அறிவு ( The sixth sense ! )

பாம்புக்கு பல்லில் விஷம் ---அது
ஐந்து அறிவு கொண்ட ஜந்து --பல
மனிதருக்கு சொல்லில் விஷம் ---அவன்
ஆறு அறிவு கொண்டவனாம் !
பாம்பு கடித்தால் விஷம் முறிக்க வைத்தியம் உண்டு
மனிதனின் சொல் விஷம் உடலில் ஏறினால்
எடுக்க மருந்தே கிடையாது
இது ஆறு அறிவின் விளைவா ???

பாம்பின் கால் பாம்பு அறியும் என்பார்
மனிதனை மனிதன் அறிய முடியுமா ????

புலி பாய்வதற்கு முன் பதுங்குமாம் --- அதுக்கு
மனதில் பயம் இருக்கலாமோ
மனிதன் பதுங்குவதே  இல்லை
நேரடியாகத் தாக்கிவிடுவான் ---நெஞ்சில்
துளியும்  பயம் இலை  போலும்---இதற்கும்
அவனின் ஆறு அறிவுதான்  காரணமோ !

                The sixth sense !
Snake has its poison in its teeth
It is believed it has only five sense ---but
mankind has poison in their word
he is believed to have six senses--If
bitten by snake there are ways
to take out the  poison --- but if
the man's word stings us
have no medicine for that
Is it  because of he having six senses ?


There is a saying that a snake knows the other one
can one human understand the other one ?

believed that the tiger hides
before attacking its prey
may be it has some fear in it
but human does not hide as
he attacks directly --may be

ஒரே நிலை ( The same state ! )

துயரம் எனும் பல்லக்கில் பல நாட்கள்
பயணம் செய்து இருக்கிறேன் ----ஆனால்
கண்ணீரை ஆபரணமாக அணியவில்லை 
புன்னகை எனை எப்போதும் அலங்கரித்ததால்

சோகம் எனும் போர்வைக்குள்
பல நாட்கள் தூங்கி உள்ளேன்
கண்கள்  தான் மூடியிருந்தன
கனவில் உல்லாசமாக இருத்தேன்

கடவுள் முன் கைக்கூப்பி நின்றிருக்கிறேன்
கேட்டதில்லை எதையுமே
அவன் என்ன கொடுக்கவில்லை  எனக்கு

இத்தனை நாள் பார்த்த இறைவன்
இதோ அபயகரம் காட்டுகிறான்
புன்னகை ,கண்ணீர் எனும் இரு
ஆபரணமும்  அணியவில்லை
நிற்கிறேன் அவன   முன் ---விரைவில்
அவன்  என்னை அலங்கரிப்பான் என்ற
முழுமையான  நம்பிக்கையோடு !

                                            The same state !
Have travelled in the palanquin of griveness
for a long time ---but
not wearing the tears as ornaments  as
my smile always adorned me

have slept under the blanket of
sadness for many many days
my eyes only were closed ... but
I was travelling happily in my dreams

have stood in front of God
with folded hands many times
never asked him anything -- because
what he did not give me ?

having watched me all these days
He has come with his blesssing hand --- as
I stand in front of Him  neither wearing
tears nor smile
As I know he will sure
decorate me !

வியப்பு ( Wonder ! )

அண்ணாந்து பார்த்து படுத்தேன்
அழகான பசும் புல்வெளிப் பரப்பிலே
விரிந்து பரந்து இருந்தது
நீல நிற வானம் --- அதிலே
உல்லாசமாகப் பறவை கூட்டம்
பறந்து சென்றன
இன்பம் என் இதயத்தை வருடியது மெல்ல

சற்று பின்னல் திரும்பிப் பார்த்தேன் --- ஏதோ
நாட்டிய ஒலி கேட்கிறதே என்று --- ஆஹா
ஆனந்தமாக சங்கீதம் இசைத்துக் கொண்டு
சலங்கை காலில் அணிந்தது போல
சல சல என்று நதி ஒன்று
ரதி போல ஓடிக்கொண்டு இருந்தது
இமைக்க மறுத்தன  விழிகள்

நிமிர்ந்து பார்த்தேன் அங்கு நின்ற
பிரம்மாண்டமான மலையை
மனம் அதன் உச்சிக்கு சென்றது

கீழே  நதி மேலே  வானம்
கண்களைச் சற்று  மூடி கனவு உலகில்
பயணித்தேன் வியந்தபடி !

                         Wonder !
Lying down on the beautiful green lawn
looking  at  the  vast blue sky
there go a group of birds flying cheerfully
happiness touched my heart gently

I turned back as I  heard some dance noise
God! happily making some music and as if wearing
payal (anklets ), the river goes dancing like
the heavenly woman callled  Rathi---- seeing this
my eyes refuse to blink

I looked up then to
see the huge mountain there
My heart reached the top
of the mountain

Down there is a river
up stands a mountain
closed  my eyes to
travel in the dream world!

விளைவுகள் ( Results )

குடைக்குள் செல்கிறான் ------- தான்
மழையில் நனையாது இருக்க ---- அதே
குடையை விரித்துச் செல்கிறான் ---- தன்னை
வெப்பத்திலிருந்து காத்துக்கொள்ள

உளி கையில் எடுப்பவன்
சிற்பியும்  ஆகலாம்  கல்லைச்  செதுக்கி
கொலையாளியும் ஆகலாம் மண்டையை உடைத்து

கண்ணாடி கொண்டு முக அழகைப் பார்க்கலாம் --அதே
கண்ணாடி கொண்டு முகத்தை அலங்கோலப் படுத்தலாம்

பேனா முனைக் கொண்டு உலகை அணைக்கலாம் ---அதே
பேனா முனைக் கொண்டு உலகை அழிக்கலாம்

 கையில் எடுக்கும் பொருள் ஒன்று ---அதன்
விளைவுகளும் நம் கையில் தான் !

                                 Results
goes holding an umbrella 
not to get wet in the rain  --the same
holding it to protect himself
from the heat of the sun

taking the special  hammer in hand --one
becomes a sculpturer  --- the same one can
become a killer by breaking one's head with that

with mirror one can see one's beauty --the same
can be used to hurt one's beauty

with the  tip of the pen  possible to
unite the  world -- with the same
possible to destroy the world

Material is  one
the results are in our hands only !

மனிதனே சற்று கவனி ( social)

குட்டிப் பார்ப்பர் தலையை சற்று குனிந்தால்
 அது தரையில் தொங்கும் வரை
சிறு துளி கண்ணீர் கண்டால்  போதும் --- அதை
 வெள்ளமாக பெருக்க நினைப்பர் --- தங்கள்
 படகுகளைத்   தயார் செய்துகொண்டு
உல்லாச பயணம் போக

நெஞ்சம் கலங்கி நிற்ப்பதை கண்டால் ---அதன்
ஆழத்தில் குதித்து மீன் பிடிக்க நினைப்பர்
முள்ளை வைத்து உடைந்த
உள்ளத்தை தைக்க முயற்சி ஏன் ?
பிறரின் சோகத்தில் இன்பம் காண்பவன்
மனிதன் அல்ல ; அசுரன்

ஒரு குருடன் மற்றொரு குருடனை
வழி நடத்திச் செல்வதை
பார்க்க தவறி  விட்டனரோ

தங்களை கடவுளின் பிரதிநிதிகளாக நினைத்து
பிறரைத் தண்டிக்க நினைக்கிறார்கள்
கடவுள் இருப்பதையே மறந்த பிறகு
பிரதிநிக்கு என்ன வேலை ?

மனிதனே ! நீ முதலில் நல்ல மனிதனாக இரு
மனித நேயத்தைக்  கற்றுக்கொள் ---பிறகு
 கடவுளாக மாறலாம் --அதுவும்
அவன் சம்மதித்தால் தான்
 
                      Hey mankind ,,just listen !
try to hit the head if
bent a little until it
touches the floor
even if they  see a few drops of tears
they will try to make it a flood -getting
their boats ready
to go on  a happy sail
If stand with a disturbed heart --they
jump into its depth and try
to catch fish in it
why try to stitch the wounded heart
with a thorn ?
one who try to find pleasure in others sorrow
is not a human : but a demon

they have failed to notice that
a blind man guiding another blind
they think they  have been appointed by God
as His  servants to punish others
when they have forgotten God where
is the  question of appointment ?

Hey mankind ,be a human first
learn humanitarian first
then think about becoming a God
that  also only if He allows you !

ஜ்யோதி

இருண்ட குகைக்குள் தள்ளப்பட்டேன் ---- என்
உள்ளத் தவிப்பினால்
திரும்பிப் பார்பதற்குள் குகை வாயிலை
மூடிவிட்டனர் என் நிலை புரிந்த பல அன்பு துரோகிகள்
தவித்தேன் தனியாக வெளி வர
வழி தெரியாமல்

வெளியில் பலரின் கேலியும் கொக்கரிப்பும்
காதில் விழுந்தன ; இதயம் இன்னும் கனத்தது
பிறரின் துன்பத்தில்தான் மக்களுக்கு எத்தனை இன்பம் !

பகலும் தெரியவில்லை இரவும் வரவில்லை
தூக்கமும் இல்லை விழிப்பும் இல்லை
ஒளி மீது இருந்த நம்பிக்கை தளரவில்லை  ---- ஆனால்
கண் விழித்தும் நான் கண்டது இருளே !

இருந்தேன் பலகாலம் அப்படியே --- திடீரென
ஒளி என்னைத் தேடி வந்தது
குகையைத் திறந்து விட்டு
கையேடு எனை  அழைத்துச் சென்றது
என்னைச்  சிரிக்க வைத்தது; தூங்க  வைத்தது ;
பாட வைத்தது ;ஆட வைத்தது
சிலிர்க்க வைத்து ;சிந்த்திக்க வைத்தது
கவிதையும் எழுத வைக்கிறது இப்போது

வியப்பாக இருக்கிறதா யார் அந்த ஒளி என்று
வேறு யாராக இருக்கும் ? -----அந்த
ஜ்யோதி மயமான இறைவனைத் தவிர !

Jyothi ( Light) I was drawn into a dark cave  because of the  intense agitation of my heart before I could turn back  the cave was closed by my loving enemies knowing my state Felt so restless as I did not know the  way to come out I could hear all kinds of talks and laughter outside the cave hearing that  my heart became very heavy How much happiness people derive from other's pain! day I not known ; night did not come no sleep so no waking up either but had not lost the faith in "light" though saw only the darkness keeping my eyes wideopen Stayed like this for a long time All of a sudden "light " came looking for me It opened the cave ,took me out of the cave holding my hands It made me laugh :put me to sleep: made me sing :made me dance has made me write poems also now surprised who that "jyothi ' could be ? Whoelse it could be ; none other than the God who is in the form of "Jyothi "!

நான் அறிந்த பகவத் கீதை

மாடும் கன்றும் மயிலும் பறவையும்
மயங்கி நின்றனவாம் அன்று மாடு மேய்த்த
மாயவனின் புல்லாங்குழல் இசையில்

இன்று நாமும் மயக்கலாம் இப்புவியையே
புல்லாங்குழல் இசைக்க வேண்டாம் 
புரிதல் எனும் இசையை வளர்த்து

கோவர்தன கிரியையே தன் சுண்டு விரல் கொண்டு
உயர்த்தித் தூக்கி அணைத்துக் கொண்டான்
அதனடியில் அனைவரையும் --------புராணம் கூறுகிறது
கதை அல்ல அது நிஜம்தான் !

இன்று நாம் இருகைகளை விரித்து
அணைத்தால் போதும் அனைவரையும்
உள்ளம் தானாக மலை போல உயருமே

மனதில் புரிதலும்  அன்பும் இருந்தால் போதும்
இப்புவி நம் கையளவு ஆகிவிடும் --பின்
கண்களில் ஒற்றிக் கொள்ளலாம்
கனிவு நிறைந்த இதயத்தோடு

Cow ,calf , peacock and birds gone into ecstacy when they  heard the flute played by the handsome cowboy that day! Today we can also make the whole world go into ecstacy --- no need to play the flute but playing the music of understanding (each other ) HE lifting the Govardhana Giri just by his little finger at a great height  hugged all of them under it giving the needed protection --- says the puranas Not just a story  ....but very true today  if we hug the world by opening our arms widely That will do  for our heart to raise like  a mountain in joy! When we have understanding and love for the world We can take the world into our palm then we can touch it with our eyes with heart full of love (kindness)

சொக்கி நிற்கிறேன் ( social)

தங்கத்தை தீயிலிட்டால்    ஜொலிக்கும்
    சுத்தத் தங்கம்  கிடைக்கும்
சங்கடம் நிறைந்த வாழ்க்கைத் தீயில் விழுந்து --- இன்று
   சொக்க தங்கமாக நிற்கிறேன்
பதித்துக்கொள்ள ரத்தினங்கள் வேண்டாமா
     சற்று  யோசித்தேன் 
ரத்தினங்கள்  பதிக்க வேண்டுமானால் ---- நான்
    கொஞ்சம் கலப்படமாக வேண்டும்
ஆபரணங்கள் அழகுதானே ---- அதைக்கொண்டு
   ஆண்டவனையும்  அலங்கரிக்கலாமே
சிந்தித்த நிலையில் நிற்கிறேன் ----- விடை
    விரைவில் கிடைக்கும் என

                               Standing blissful !
gold when put on fire all impurities  goes off and
it becomes very pure and shines so beautifully

likewise I was put in the fire of difficulties of life

now I shine like the purest gold

wonder whether I need gems on me

to become an ornament

but then  I need to take some impurities ( as u know they can not make any ornament out of very pure gold )

After all ornaments are so beautiful
can decorate God also with them

Stay thinking about it with the hope

I  will get an answer soon ...........

நம்பிக்கையின் பலன்

சிப்பிக்குள் முத்து போல சில காலம் இருந்தேன்
என் உள்ளம் எனும் ஆழ்கடலில்
திடீரென திறந்து பார்த்த இறைவன்
புன்னகைத்தான்   ----   என்னே ஆச்சர்யம்
நான் ஒரு அணிகலன் ஆகிவிட்டேன்
வியந்தேன் மகிழ்ந்தேன் சிரித்தேன் --- அணிகலனான நான்
அவனின் மலர் பதங்களை அலங்கரித்தேன்
நம்பிக்கையின் பயன் தெய்வீகமோ
இதை விடச் சிறந்த பரிசு உண்டா  எனக்
கொடுக்க நினைத்தேன்     பலருக்கும் இதை
என்னுள் எழுந்த அமைதியில் ---- இரு கை
விரித்து உலகையே அணைக்க நினைத்தேன்
சந்தர்ப்பம் வரும் வரை காத்திருப்பேன்                            
என் இறைவன் துணையோடு !
   
                                        Fruit of faith

I lived like a pearl in its shell for some time

 in the ocean of my deep heart

all of a sudden God opened it and smiled at me

what a surprise

I became a jewel

felt so thrilled ,happy and laughed

I adorned myself  ( the jewel ) on his flowery feet

faith's benifit is so divine

Is there a prize better than this

so wanted to give to  many people the divinity  I  feel

with the peace that has come to me 

want to hug the whole world opening my hands so widely

Know I will get a chance ; till then I will wait

with my god's love !

   பெண்ணுக்கு மென்மை அழகு

in learning what we get is beautiful

அவன் நம்மில் ஒருவனே

கைகள் இரண்டுதானே என
 ஒரு ஏக்கம் எனக்குள் ------ நம்மை
படைத்தவனுக்கோ பல கைகள்
பார்த்திருக்கிறோம் கேட்டு இருக்கிறோம்
கேட்டேன் அவனை  ஏனடா
 இந்த ஓர  வஞ்சனை என
நிறைய கைகள் கொடுத்தால்
நாமும் அவனாகி விடுவோமோ என
நினைத்தானோ ---இல்லையே
அவன் நம்மில் ஒருவன் --இதை
உணர்ந்தால் நாமும் அவனே !

we have only two hands ; just  thinking ...

because our Creator has many
we have seen and read about this

Asked Him why this partiality
did he think if he had given us many hands
would become God ?---- NO
because he is one among us --if  we
realise that we are also God!

சும்மா இரு என்றேன்  மனதிடம்
    சேஷ்டை செய்   என்றேன் இதயத்திடம்
போராட்டம் எழுந்தது
    தூண் போல சும்மா இரு என்றேன் மனதிடம்
காத்தாடி போலப்   பற என்றேன் இதயத்திடம்
    பறந்த இதயம் தூணைப்  பற்றிக் கொண்டது
என்ன வினோதம் இது
     மனமும் இதயமும் ஒரே இடத்திலா ?
ஜெயித்தது நான் தான்  
    பறந்தேன் நானே வானத்தில் !

 Asked  the  mind to keep quite  

   be mischief said to the heart

There started a confusion (war)

  Told the  mind to keep "still " like a pillar

Asked the heart to fly like a kite

  the heart flew like a kite and got stuck on the pillar

கொடுத்த அளவு ஒன்று
   வைத்த அளவு ஒன்று
புடவைக்கு சரியான பொட்டு இருக்கு
  ரவிக்கை இல்லையே
பொட்டிக் கடை வைத்தவனே
      பிரம்மன்  ஆகிவிட்டான்  
வியக்க வேண்டாம் யாரென்று
  விடை உங்கள் கையிலே

which was bought with so much money
one in silk cloth
one in bit cloth
one with short sleeve
one with no neck
Given was one size
what he  made was another size
having  a matching bindi (sticker one)
for the saree
but no matching blouse
A small shop-keeper becomes a Brahma
dont wonder who it is
you must know the answer !

வெள்ளியை வேண்டியவள்   அதை
      வெளியே  வைக்க பயந்தாள்
தங்கத்தை வேண்டியவள்   அதனை
     பங்கம் வராது   வங்கியில் வைத்தாள்
வைரத்தை  வேண்டியவள்   அணியவே
     தைரியம் இழந்து இருந்தாள்
என் நகையும் வேண்டவில்லை நான் -- என்
     புன்னகை ஒன்றே போதுமென .........

     afraid to keep them even  outside (u know silver things will go dark if u keep them outside ,that is one meaning )

people who have jewellery in gold

     want to keep them in bank for safety

people who  have jewellery in diamond

    scared  even to wear them

I never long for any  kind of jewellery

     as I feel my "smile" alone will do

காட்சிகள்

மயில் தோகை ஒன்று கண்டேன்
   மால் மருகன் நினைவில் வந்தான்
மழை தரும் கரு  மேகம் கண்டேன்
   மாதவன் குழல் இசைத்தான்
மழலைச் செல்வத்தைக்    கண்டேன்
   மனதில் ஒரு மயக்கம் கண்டேன்
மயங்கிய நிலை கொண்டு  நான்
  மனம் நிறைந்து துயில் கொண்டேன்

பிறரின் தோல்வியில் அவர்களின் வெற்றியை தேடுவேன்
  என் தோல்வியில் எனது வெற்றிக்கு ஏங்குவேன்
பிறரின் வெற்றியை நான் எனதாக கருதுவேன்
  என் வெற்றியை பிறர்க்கும் தர விரும்புவேன்
வெற்றியோ தோல்வியோ நமதோ பிறர்தோ
  எதையும்  இறைவனுக்கே அற்பணிப்போம்

தெளிவு ( crystal clear ) divine

இரையைத் தேடி அலையலாம்  -----ஆனால்
   இறைவனை தேடி அலையவேண்டாம்
இரையை வெளியே தேடலாம் ----- ஆனால்
  இறைவனை உள்ளே தேடணும்
இரை உள்ளே சென்றால் உயிர் வாழ்கிறது
  இறையை வெளியே அனுப்பினால் உயிர் வாடுகிறது
இரையைப் பகிர்ந்து  கொள்ளணும்   ------ நாம்
  இறைவனையும் பகிர்ந்து கொள்ளலாம் !

Need to go in search of food ----   but

  No need to go in search of God

Food when  goes in soul lives

  God when let out soul suffers

Look for food outside  but

  Look for God inside

Can share the food  so

  Can be shared the God in us !

மழலைச் செல்வம் ( wealth of little ones)

குட்டிப்  பெண்  ஒன்று   எனைச்
   சுற்றிச் சுற்றி வந்ததே
கொள்ளை ஆசை கொண்டதனை
  கட்டித் தழுவ எடுத்தேனே
பட்டுக் கன்னம் இரண்டிலும்  நான்
  பதிய பல முத்தம் தந்தேனே
மெத்த மகிழ்ந்த   எனைக் கண்டு அது
  பூத்த புது மலர் போல் சிரித்ததே !

a cute little girl came
round and round me
with so much love
I picked her up to hug
gave many kisses on her
soft silk-like cheeks
seeing me with so much joy
she laughed like a freshly bloomed flower !

என் கண்ணம்மா ( My darling ...)

கட்டித் தழுவிடும் கருமேகம்  --- அது
  கொட்டித் தழுவியது பூமியை
விட்டுப்  பிரிய மனமிலாது   ----- அது
  வெட்டி அடித்தது மின்னலை
பட்டுப்  புல்வெளி  மேலே  ------ கால்
  பட்டுச் சிலிர்த்தது  மேனியே
சிட்டுக் குருவியும் பாடிட ------- என்
  சிந்தைக்கு வந்தாயே கண்ணம்மா !

                      My darling ( My kannamma )
The dark clouds that crawl around the sky

   hug each other over flowing with love

 Pour down on the earth

   wetting all over

 As they dont want to leave

  send the lightning with joy

 I start walking on the soft lucious green lawn

  with bare foot

 My whole body shivers with happiness

     There I hear a littel sparrow singing

 You ,my love  come into my thought

    I stand there spellbound!

ஆனை முகத்தோனுக்கு  ஒரு அழகிய வணக்கம்
   அழகன் எனும் முருகனுக்கு ஒரு அன்பு வணக்கம்
அண்ணாமலை அண்ணலுக்கு ஒரு இனிய வணக்கம்
  அவனின் மனையாளுக்கு ஒரு அற்புத வணக்கம்
அழகிய கனவுகள் பல எனக்குள் வளர
    அழகிய தமிழில் அதை நான் வடிக்க
அவைகளை ஆசையோடு படிக்கும் அன்பர்கள்
